Chinese Animal Protection Network (CAPN) is the first Chinese network for animal protection. We initiated many pioneering projects that target different animal issues such as networking of advocacy groups/individuals, campaign against dog eating and cat eating,campaign against animal hoarding, campaign against massive dogs/cats killing for population control, academic research of animal ethics, awareness campaign of lab animal protection and the promotion of vegetarianism. Those projects have lead the direction of Chinese NGOs in the recent years. Since the launching of our first project back to 2004, our cooperative network has been expanding and has reached almost every part of China. At this moment, we have more than 40 member groups, two branches and over ten thousand individual supporters who recognize our values, and are using technology, research, education, artistry, and creativity to make our world a better place for all sentiente beings.
